PhD Overview

My research focused on the characterisation and extraction of copper and cobalt from smelting slag. This research will contribute to the development of a novel technology for extracting copper and cobalt from smelting slag. The recovery of copper and cobalt from slag will substantially augment the supply of these metals which are essential to facilitating the transition to green energy technologies and meeting the net zero emissions target by 2050.
