PhD Overview

My PhD explores how daily smartphone-reported data from people with rheumatoid arthritis can help identify different treatment response patterns—such as fast, slow, or non-response. By analysing this data, I aim to determine the earliest point at which an individual’s likely response type can be predicted. This could support earlier treatment decisions for those unlikely to respond, supplementing traditional clinical assessments, which are infrequent and often take months to reveal treatment outcomes.
